Calm & Confident Classes with Jodine Carruthers at Pyramid Stables. Are you tired of riding through fear or not because of it? Would you like to gain more confidence on the ground and in the saddle? Blue Eagle Equestrian in Cedar is offering Indoor Obstacle Trail Clinics - Build trust and confidence for you and your horse by negotiating obstacles such as teeter totter bridge, podium, log maze, curtain, bridges, gates and more. In hand and riding for all breeds, disciplines and levels in a low key, fun atmosphere that allows you to go at your own pace. Course will be up for the week following the clinic for lessons and a drop in is offered on Wednesday from 1pm til 6pm to practice for those who have taken a clinic in the past. Dr. Andrew McLean, a world-renowned equine behaviourist with a PhD in equine cognition and learning, and author of several books in the field will be giving a clinic May 2-3 at Foxstone Stable in Duncan. This highly interactive clinic with auditors, and riders or handlers of all disciplines is designed to offer everyone as broad an experience as possible in the ways of ethical training and its better impact on horse welfare. Dr. McLean has spoken at the Global Dressage Forum and has competed for Australia in eventing. EFW is a field that combines Mental Health Professionals and Equine Professionals working together with horses to help people overcome emotional challenges and gain confidence. Generation Farms is a leader in this field offering both programs and training. Deborah Marshall is a Certified Trainer with the National Association for Equine Facilitated Wellness.
