August 10-14, 17-21
Ambleside Summer Camps are back! We still have a few spots available in our August 10 - 14 camp (9am to 1pm), as well as our August 17 - 21 camp (1pm to 5pm). We keep our groups small to ensure a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment. All coaches are certified through Equine Canada. Participants will have one riding lesson daily, as well as instruction in various stable management topics — safe handling practices, braiding, bandaging, lunging, horsemanship, etc. We are always the highlight of the summer for our participants!

August 14-16
The NVIHA will be holding an Open Hunter Jumper Derby Show at the Comox Valley Exhibition grounds on August 14-16. The program can be found on the NVIHA -

The Comox Valley Exhibition Fall Fair will be taking place August 28th, 29th, and 30th this year. We are hosting Cattle Sorting and the Cups For Cancer Barrel Race on August 29th and 30th.

The Metchosin Equestrian Society has a great day of events planned for Metchosin Day at the Riding Ring (4450 Happy Valley Road). Early birds can enjoy a coffee and breakfast sandwich or a lunchtime hotdog from our concession under the grandstand as you watch the Manestream Vaulters perform gymnastics on horseback. There will be lots of action and variety as local trainers and coaches, horses and riders demonstrate their specialized skills throughout the day. A complete schedule of events and times will be posted on the Metchosin Day website.

Errington Therapeutic Riding Association, ETRA, will host their 26th Annual Pledge ride on Sunday, September 20th, 2015. Once again, Arbutus Meadows in Nanoose Bay will be hosting this wonderful event with great trails to ride, excellent prizes, a big BBQ and of course lots of FUN! Dressage clinic TopNotchWarmbloods is proud to host a clinic with Hiltrud Mohrmann from Germany October 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2015.
Hiltrud is a very accomplished Rider and Coach.She grew up with horses at her home in Germany and as a young person trained and showed homebred horses in Dressage.Knowing this is what she wanted to do in life, Hiltrud rode for 10 years with the late Dr. Rainer Klimke from 1978 to 1987. In 1988 Hiltrud and her husband spend a year in South Korea to train and prepare their top dressage riders for the Olympics. Coming back from Korea Hiltrud and her Husband Bernd opened a Training Facility in Rastede and later in Riesenbeck , in Oldenburg , the cradle of horses in Germany, and trained many horses to the top level of Grand Prix, taking a great no. of them to the Bundeschampionat . Hiltrud took many horses and showed them in Grand Prix in her lifetime and still does. She also has a passion for 3 day eventing and competed all the way to the S-Level ( 4 th level ) in it.Some of her achievements are earning the " Goldene Reiterabzeichen" as well as becoming a member of the German B2 Kader in 2002. Cost per lesson is $ 150,- or $ 400,- for all 3 days. Audition fee is $ 20,- per day or $ 50,- for all 3 days. 250-245-8614

Progress Days Clinic with Devanee Cardinal. Develop your skills and partnership with your horse online, at liberty, riding freestyle, and riding finesse. Spend one day focussing on each savvy. The limit will be 9 riders in the clinic thus providing lots of opportunities for individualized instruction and support. Whatever your experience, whatever your discipline, Devanee will help you improve your horsemanship, both on the ground and in the saddle. Auditors are welcome but must pre-register.
